Lexi's Blessing Day

Today was Miss Lexi's blessing day.  Matt did a beautiful job giving Lexi a name and a blessing.  She is a special little spirit and is going to be a sweet additon to the DeJong family. We feel so blessed that we could join them in this sweet day.

  

  

  

We Have a Ghost in Our House!

We have a ghost in our house!  No one knows who did this to the curtains, so the only explanation is a ghost.  The ghost twisted the curtain all up and then yanked on it to pull the rod out of the wall!  Stinker.

Hannah's Music Program

Tonight was Hannah's 3rd Grade music program.  It was so fun with a light show and fun songs.  The program was called "Star Search."  Hannah got to be a part of a small group that did their own song as well.  The kids did a great job!

Jacob's Music Program

Tonight was Jacob's 1st Grade Music program.  The kids put together a great program and it was fun to watch Jacob perform.  He did a great job!

Beautiful Smile!

Hannah got her braces removed today!  We are SO excited for her to be finished with this phase.  YAY!!!  What a beautiful girl and beautiful smile!

Brent's New Bike

Brent has been saving up his money and purchased himself a new bike.  He is excited for this new avenue of exercise.

Monkey

Ryan loves to wear his monkey!  It is a kid "leash" to keep wandering children attatched to you.  We just tuck the "tail" (leash) part in and off he goes!  His older siblings like to pull on him sometimes, but we are working on that.

Lisa sent me this picture of Ryan that she found on her phone.  I don't know how old he is here, but that sweet smile is sure cute!  What a handsome little man!

Happy Birthday Minnie Alexa DeJong!

Lisa's Facebook post:  "Our sweet Minnie Alexa came to us about 4 weeks early at 7:58pm yesterday (April 9, 2015). I went for an ultrasound to check growth and we found that she had not grown in a month. They decided we needed to do a c-section as Lexi would do better outside the womb. She weighed 3lb 8oz at birth and was 16.5 inches long. Lexi is now in the NICU and looking comfy in a warmer bed. It will probably another 2 weeks or so before she is ready to come home. We are so grateful to have her here safe and sound. Except for being very tiny she is healthy and well."

Lisa and Matt closed on their new house a couple of week ago and have been fixing it up before moving in.  Well, they were supposed to move this weekend and don't have everything packed yet.  I spent my day visiting with Lisa and Lexi at the hospital and then going to their apartment to load up boxes.  We are so excited that Miss Lexi is finally here.  Now to get them moved...

Easter

Today was a fun day, mostly.  This morning the 3 older kids and I went to the City of Greeley Easter Egg Hunt with the Crawfords.  It was pretty disappointing. My timid kiddos didn't get very many eggs and ended up in tears.  Hannah got 6 and as generous enough to give half of them to Jacob without me even asking her to.  It was sad to have something so fun turn into an aggresive and not fun game.  :(  To make up for it we went to get donuts!  The kids enjoyed that.

We came home and decorated our Easter eggs in preparation for Easter tomorrow.  The kids made some beautiful eggs while Ryan entertained himself with the baskets.
